Business Process Optimization

Your business needs to run efficiently and effectively, but sometimes the business grows faster than the existing systems and processes can keep up.  I take a deep dive into my clients' people, process, and technology to diagnose the pain points and help them develop, design and solution improved or optimized states.

Sometimes companies simply do not have the time or resources to make sure their processes and internal controls are documented properly.  Additionally, other organizations have internal audit projects or operational audits that management is interested in pursuing, but simply do not have the resource capacity to see it through. 



I specialize in helping clients with a full range of internal audit needs.  I conduct operational audits to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations to enhance efficiency across business processes, and assess control design and effectiveness to ensure internal controls are robust and properly mitigate risks. 


I also help clients document processes and internal controls, enabling organizations to maintain clear and accurate documentation for compliance, training and reference purposes.

Contract Compliance & Construction Audit

Most companies have contracts with hundreds, if not thousands, of companies providing materials, supplies and services.  If not properly or regularly reviewed companies are at significant risk that vendors may improperly bill for services provided, bill for items not included/allowable in the contract or may not be in compliance with other key terms and provisions. 



I help clients risk assess their portfolios and execute compliance reviews by
conducting a thorough contract analysis to identify key financial and non-financial risks and tailor the reviews to the specific needs and concerns of my clients.
I conduct reviews of construction, royalty, services, and materials contracts including cost plus, time and material, unit price and fixed price contract types to identify and mitigate risks, verify compliance aspects and recover non-compliant billings.

Data is a powerful tool.  It provides management valuable insights in managing the business, informing decisions and measuring performance.  The problem is data can be overwhelming and contain a lot of noise.  Companies need a trusted advisor that can help them make sense of it.


I work with my clients to understand their data, how its used and how different datasets interact.  My goal is to understand outliers and ultimately help my clients to make sense of their data and answer key questions to:

  • Identify key trends, risk and opportunities to address and respond
  • Determine if performance goals are achievable
  • Assess internal control performance
  • Determine if specific transactions have red flags for fraud that require further investigation & review
  • Assess whether resources are used efficiently in alignment with strategic goals & objectives
